Anxiety Treatment
Anxiety is physical and emotional manifestations of the body's natural response to perceived danger or stress. The problem is when our bodies become stuck in this way of functioning. This becomes exhausting for our system and can lead to other health concerns and physical symptoms of stress.
In order to best treat anxiety, it is imperative that the underlying causes be treated before symptoms are alleviated. Clients may not always be aware of these root causes, and that's perfectly okay. The therapy modalities I use are designed to guide clients through this exploration process, allowing them to engage authentically with their experiences.
In therapy, I employ modalities that delve into the underlying factors contributing to anxiety, such as adverse life experiences. past traumas, or unresolved emotions. Through techniques like somatic experiencing and EMDR, clients can safely process and release stored tension and trauma, paving the way for long-term relief from anxiety symptoms.
